Archief 18

Honolulu, USA 2007.

Although unemployment is minimal in Honolulu, there are some street people -as in any other city-. Through the years I decided not to photograph homeless people anymore -and certainly not from the back-. I could make exceptions in case of a reportage in which I had their confidence and permission. When I saw this situation I was unaible to resist temptation; the man with his whole property literally walking in the gutter and separated by obstacles from the man with the briefcase, walking in the opposite direction. Let's say it's my photographer's side, trying to show the beauty in ugliness -or the ugliness in beauty-, the surreal in society. Or the surreal in images.
