What is a portrait? Do you need someone 's looking into the camera? Or do you need more? What are the conditions? And what about focussing on someone in his life environment when he is not aware of the photographers presence? In the street? Do you need someone 's permission? Is that enough? Do you need to tell something substantial about someone? If you photographed a woman you even didn 't talk with but she was looking into the camera and you did it in a 'streetphotography' way? Possibly this is not a portrait. What is a portrait? Is this a relevant question? Perhaps (not).
